Darts enthusiasts eagerly await the announcement of the participating countries and pairs for the 2024 World Cup of Darts by the PDC. This annual nations tournament sees players compete in teams of two, rather than individually.

The defending champions, Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton of Wales, secured their second World Cup title in 2023 after previously winning in 2020. Four-time champion England will be represented by world champion Luke Humphries, making his debut, and world number three Michael Smith.

Representing Scotland are the experienced duo of Peter Wright and Gary Anderson. The Netherlands, led by three-time champion Michael van Gerwen and Danny Noppert, will be in action at the knockout stage, along with the other top-seeded nations.

The remaining 36 teams will compete in the group stage, which takes place on June 27 and 28. Outsiders such as Belgium (Dimitri Van den Bergh and Kim Huybrechts), Australia (Damon Heta and Simon Whitlock), Northern Ireland (Josh Rock and Brendan Dolan), and Germany (Martin Schindler and Gabriel Clemens) will be looking to make their mark.

Alongside van Gerwen and Noppert, three other Dutch players are set to compete at the World Cup of Darts.

Alongside van Gerwen and Noppert, three other Dutch players are set to compete at the World Cup of Darts:

    1. Jeffrey de Graaf and Oskar Lukasiak will represent Sweden.
    2. Jules van Dongen, partnering with Danny Lauby, will compete for the United States.
    3. Cor Dekker and Hakon Bjorge Helling will represent Norway.

The knockout stages, including the last 16, quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals, will take place over the weekend of June 29 and 30. Darts fans can look forward to an exciting and closely contested tournament as the world’s best duos battle it out for the coveted World Cup title.
