Bullyboy Smith Dominates at Players Championship 9
On Monday, Darts enthusiasts were treated to an electrifying display of skill at the Players Championship 9 tournament. Michael “Bullyboy” Smith stole the show with a remarkable 109.91 average in his quarterfinal match against Luke Woodhouse, securing a 6-3 victory.
The 2023 season has been a testament to Smith’s prowess, as he continued his dominant performance by winning the tournament with an 8-6 triumph over Ryan Joyce in the final. Earlier in the day, Smith had also recorded an impressive 106.04 average, showcasing his exceptional consistency.
Veteran Raymond van Barneveld also shone brightly, delivering a 107.47 average in his decisive 6-1 win over Nathan Rafferty. Dave Chisnall further demonstrated his skill, registering averages of 107.23 and 105.21 over the course of the tournament.
Remarkably, the Players Championship 9 event witnessed a total of five players who managed to achieve a 105+ average. Chris Dobey (105.25) and Danny van Trijp (105.23) also joined the elite group, further elevating the level of competition.
