Darts Enthusiasts Gear Up for Thrilling 2024 European Darts Open
The highly anticipated 2024 European Darts Open is set to take the stage from June 21 to June 23 at the Ostermann Arena in Leverkusen. This eighth European Tour tournament of the year will feature 48 players vying for the coveted title.
Top Players Set to Compete
The top-16 players on the placement list will enter the European Darts Open from the second round, including prominent names like Michael van Gerwen, Luke Humphries, Gerwyn Price, Gary Anderson, and Peter Wright. The remaining 32 participants will compete in the first round on Friday.
Notable Qualifiers
Notable players such as Michael Smith, Nathan Aspinall, Joe Cullen, Chris Dobey, Luke Littler, and James Wade have secured their spots without needing to go through a qualifying tournament. The field has been further bolstered by four Host Nation Qualifiers, a Nordic & Baltic Qualifier, and the winner of the Eastern European qualifying tournament.
“The 2024 European Darts Open is set to be an electrifying event, with the world’s best players competing for the coveted title,” said a tournament organizer.
Additional Invitees
Raymond van Barneveld, Gian van Veen, and Dimitri van den Bergh have also been invited to the event based on their world rankings. Among the Tour Card qualifiers, six Dutchmen and three Belgians, including Jeffrey de Graaf, Mike de Decker, and Andy Baetens, will be taking the stage.

The top-16 placed players include Luke Humphries, Dave Chisnall, Damon Heta, Gary Anderson, Rob Cross, Gerwyn Price, Danny Noppert, Michael van Gerwen, Josh Rock, Ross Smith, Ryan Searle, Stephen Bunting, Martin Schindler, Peter Wright, Chris Dobey, and Ricardo Pietreczko.
