Experienced Darts Stars Klaasen and Beaton Secure Spots for German Darts Championship
Darts enthusiasts are in for an exciting treat as former world champions Jelle Klaasen and Steve Beaton have successfully navigated the Tour Card qualifying tournament to earn their spots in the upcoming German Darts Championship. The prestigious Euro Tour event is scheduled to take place in Hildesheim from August 30th to September 1st.
Klaasen, known for his impressive performances on the big stage, showcased his prowess by defeating Jeffrey de Zwaan (6-5), Chris Landman (6-1), and Mario Vandenbogaerde (6-3) during the qualifying tournament. The Dutch star’s consistent display throughout the matches has secured him a place in the main event.
Joining Klaasen is the legendary Steve Beaton, who also booked his ticket to the German Darts Championship. Beaton’s victories over Benjamin Drue Reus (6-5), George Killington (6-4), and Keegan Brown (6-2) during the qualifying rounds have cemented his spot in the prestigious tournament.
Elsewhere, Mike Kuivenhoven navigated his way through the qualifiers, securing wins over Jurjen van der Velde (6-5), Gabriel Clemens (6-3), and Robert Owen (6-4). Additionally, Simon Whitlock overcame the challenges posed by Robbie Knops (6-4), Richard Veenstra (6-3), and Stephen Burton (6-4) to earn his place in the German Darts Championship.
