Unexpected Withdrawals at the Upcoming Baltic Sea Darts Open
In a surprising turn of events, the upcoming Baltic Sea Darts Open in Kiel will be missing two of the sport’s biggest names. The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) has announced that former world champions Gary Anderson and Gerwyn Price have withdrawn from this Euro Tour tournament.
The absence of these high-profile players has led to a shift in the seeding, with Krzysztof Ratajski and Joe Cullen now gaining seeded status and entering the competition from the second round. To fill the vacant spots, Luke Woodhouse and Jermaine Wattimena, the two highest-ranked players on the reserve list, have been added to the lineup.
“The Baltic Sea Darts Open is a relatively new addition to the Euro Tour calendar, with this year’s event marking only the second time it has been held in Kiel. In the inaugural edition last year, it was Dave Chisnall who emerged victorious, securing an 8-5 win over Luke Humphries in the final.”
As the tournament approaches, all eyes will be on the remaining field of talented players as they compete for the coveted title in this growing darts event.
