The PDC Nordic & Baltic announced on Monday that Jeffrey de Graaf and Oskar Lukasiak will represent Sweden at the World Cup of Darts from June 27 to 30. For De Graaf, this will be his first time playing for Sweden in the renowned Nations tournament. Lukasiak, on the other hand, made his debut in the Swedish shirt last year and surprisingly reached the quarter-finals of the World Cup of Darts alongside Dennis Nilsson, eventually losing to the eventual champions, Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton from Wales.
De Graaf’s Journey
De Graaf has been competing under the Swedish flag since 2023. The 33-year-old Dutch player relocated to Sweden in 2018 due to his girlfriend’s origin in the Scandinavian country. He is not the only Dutchman to have represented another nation at the World Cup of Darts. In 2016, Cor Dekker played for Norway alongside Robert Wagner, while Jules van Dongen represented the United States in the 2023 edition and will be competing again this year.
