Scott Williams and Ross Smith Advance to Third Round at European Darts Grand Prix
Sindelfingen, [DATE] – The opening day of the European Darts Grand Prix saw Scott Williams and Ross Smith secure their spots in the third round of the prestigious tournament.
Williams, known as ‘Shaggy’, faced off against Krzysztof Ratajski in a closely contested match. Williams took an early 2-0 lead with a blistering 14-darter, but Ratajski fought back, leveling the score at 3-3 with a 15-darter and a 60 finish. The pair traded legs until the 10th leg, where Ratajski missed two crucial doubles, allowing Williams to capitalize with a 14-darter and clinch the victory.
Compatriot Ross Smith also booked his place in the next round, defeating fellow Englishman Luke Woodhouse. After falling behind 0-1, Smith rallied to take a commanding 4-1 lead, thanks to two 13-darters and a 10-darter. Woodhouse managed to cut the deficit to 4-2, but Smith sealed the win with a 58 finish and a 13-darter.
