New Season of Championship Darts Circuit (CDC) Kicks Off
The Championship Darts Circuit (CDC) Tour has begun its new season, with the first two tournaments taking place in the US state of Indiana. This tour is open to darters from Canada and the United States.
CDC Tour 1
In the first tournament, Leonard Gates emerged victorious, showcasing a dominant performance. He faced a challenge in the quarterfinals against Stowe Buntz, winning 6-4, but went on to defeat Paul Jones (5-0), Jared Leedy (5-0), Jake Macmillan (6-2), and Danny Baggish (7-3) to reach the final. In the high-stakes final, Gates proved too strong for Doug Boehm, winning 7-3 with a remarkable average of 102.76, compared to Boehm’s 102.20.
CDC Tour 2
The second CDC tournament saw a triumph for the 54-year-old Canadian, David Cameron. He successively defeated Paul Forauer (5-1), Chris Caldwell (5-1), Danny Young (6-5), Danny Baggish (6-0), Stowe Buntz (7-5), and compatriot Jeff Smith (6-5) to claim the title.
CDC Tour 2024
The CDC Tour in 2024 will consist of fourteen tournaments, two more than the previous season. The best American darter and the highest-ranked Canadian darter will receive an invitation to participate in the World Darts Championship in December.
