Darts Enthusiast Witnesses Thrilling Upset at Poland Masters
In a captivating opening round match at the 2024 Poland Darts Masters, 44-year-old Croatian player Boris Krcmar delivered a resounding upset, defeating two-time major champion Nathan Aspinall by a score of 6-4.
Aspinall initially managed to claw his way back from an 0-2 deficit, taking a 3-2 lead. However, Krcmar refused to be deterred, breaking his opponent’s throw in the seventh leg with a superb 78 finish. The Croatian player then sealed the victory with a 70 checkout in the tenth leg, showcasing an impressive average of 98 throughout the match.
Krcmar, brimming with enthusiasm, shared his thoughts on the hard-fought win, “Nathan is one of the best players in the world. I played well tonight; I was a little bit nervous but I managed to win, so I’m very happy. I hope I can keep this form going, and I will give it my best tomorrow.”
