Noppert and Edhouse Advance to Last Sixteen at Baltic Sea Darts Open
On Saturday evening in Kiel, Danny Noppert and Ritchie Edhouse secured their spots in the last sixteen of the Baltic Sea Darts Open.
For Noppert, his 6-5 victory came at the expense of veteran Raymond van Barneveld. ‘The Freeze’ staged a remarkable comeback after falling behind 4-1 early on. Van Barneveld had started the match strongly, firing in a 12-darter and a 96 finish to establish a comfortable lead. However, Noppert fought back, reducing the deficit to 3-4 with checkouts of 120 and 112. The Dutchman then leveled the match at 4-4 with another 12-darter before taking the lead at 5-4 with a 101 finish. Van Barneveld managed to force a deciding leg, but Noppert sealed the win with an 11-darter.

Ritchie Edhouse, who has been in impressive form in recent weeks, also booked his place in the last sixteen. The Englishman initially lost a 4-1 lead against Jonny Clayton but ultimately prevailed 6-5 in a close-fought encounter.
