The 2024 Baltic Sea Darts Open
The 2024 Baltic Sea Darts Open is set to take place from Friday, May 10, to Sunday, May 12, in Kiel. This sixth Euro Tour tournament of the season will boast a prize pool of £175,000.
“While a number of players will receive their prize money directly into their bank accounts, the earnings will not be added to the world rankings.”
However, this year’s event has introduced a new format, with 32 players automatically invited to the Euro Tours.
The top 16 players on the Pro Tour Order of Merit will receive a bye to the second round, while the top 16 on the cleaned world ranking list will enter from the first round. Both groups must win their opening match for the prize money to count towards the world ranking.
The remaining 16 participants are winners from various qualifying tournaments. Although their prize money will be added to the rankings regardless of their results, they are still guaranteed a minimum of £1,250 as starting money.
Advancing to the second round earns players £2,500, while third-round losers receive £4,000. Quarter-finalists will pocket £6,000, while semi-finalists will take home at least £8,500. The runner-up will receive £12,000, and the champion of the 2024 Baltic Sea Darts Open will walk away with a substantial £30,000 prize.
