Darts Enthusiasts Celebrate Double Victory at Winmau Belgian Darts Tour
On Saturday, April 20th, the Winmau Belgian Darts Tour kicked off with the first two tournaments taking place in Kortrijk. The events saw Brian Ramen and Stefaan Henderyck emerge as the victorious champions.
The opening tournament drew a field of 61 participants, including both Belgian and Dutch competitors. The final match-up pitted Brian Raman against Stefaan Deprez. Raman’s path to the final included wins over Stijn Deklerck (3-1), Dustin Straver (3-0), Erwin Missotten (3-0), and Wouter Vanrolleghem (3-2). Deprez reached the championship round by defeating Geert de Vos (3-0), Rino Ameel (3-1), Steve de Buck (3-1), and Arne Degryse (3-2). However, Raman proved too strong in the final, securing a 3-1 victory.
The second event of the Winmau Belgian Darts Tour attracted 59 participants, all vying for prize money, points, and the chance to earn a spot in the MODUS Super Series. The young talent Born van Put made an impressive run, defeating Yori Dehaene (4-0), Stijn Deklerck (4-3), John Desreumaux (4-3), and Geert de Vos (4-3) to reach the final. There, he faced off against the experienced Stefaan Henderyck, who had previously bested Wouter Vanrolleghem (4-3), Christel Schaeken (4-0), Zyon Raman (4-2), and Steve de Buck (4-0). Henderyck’s strong performance in the final proved too much for Van Put, as he secured a 4-1 victory and booked his spot in the MODUS Super Series.
