Darts Enthusiasts Eagerly Await Singapore’s Return to the World Cup
Singapore, May 23rd – The World Cup of Darts is a highly anticipated event among darts aficionados, and this year’s edition promises to be no exception. The Singapore darts duo of Paul Lim and Harith Lim have once again secured their place in the tournament, marking their 10th appearance on the global stage.
The path to qualification was not a straightforward one, as Singapore did not receive an automatic invitation from the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). However, the team demonstrated their resilience, battling through a qualifying tournament to secure one of the three remaining spots allocated to Asian countries.
In the qualifying event, the Singaporean pair showcased their skills, defeating South Korea, India, Malaysia, and Thailand in succession to secure their place in the World Cup. At the age of 70, Paul Lim will be making his 10th appearance for Singapore, a testament to his enduring passion and dedication to the sport.

That year, the Singaporean duo caused a significant upset by defeating the Scottish world champions, Gary Anderson and Peter Wright, before narrowly missing out on a semifinal berth. Darts enthusiasts will be hoping for similar heroics from Lim and Lim as they represent their country in the 2023 World Cup of Darts, scheduled to take place in Frankfurt, Germany, from June 27th to 30th.
The reigning champions, the Welsh duo of Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton, will be looking to defend their title, but the Singapore team will be aiming to make their mark and potentially spring more surprises on the global stage.
