Niko Springer Claims First PDC Development Tour Title
On Sunday, Niko Springer claimed his first-ever PDC Development Tour title. The German player emerged victorious in the final of Development Tour 10, where he defeated Gian van Veen, who managed to consolidate his top position in the Development Tour rankings.
Springer’s road to the trophy was paved with impressive wins. He successively defeated Benedikt Bielert (4-1), Bence Horvath (4-0), Revelino Dubios (4-1), Connor Arberry (4-0), Owen Roelofs (4-2), Henry Coates (5-2), and Jannis Barkhausen (5-2) to reach the final. In the decisive match, Springer secured a 5-2 victory over Van Veen.

The PDC Development Tour is the youth circuit of the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC), open to players aged 16 to 23. Players who turn 24 during the season are also eligible to compete. Each Development Tour tournament features a prize pool of 15,000 pounds, with a ranking system that determines the top two players who receive an invitation to the World Darts Championship and a Tour Card for 2025 and 2026. The ranking winner also earns a spot in the Grand Slam of Darts.
