Impressive Performance by Luke Humphries at Premier League Darts
On Night 15 of the Premier League Darts, Luke Humphries delivered an impressive performance, easily defeating former world champion Rob Cross. Known as ‘Cool Hand Luke’, Humphries conceded just a single leg against his opponent.
The opening leg saw Cross get on the scoreboard, but from then on, Humphries took firm control. He threw out 66 and 87 to seize the advantage. A blistering 15-darter and a spectacular 121 finish made it 4-1 in Humphries’ favor. He then closed out the match with a 13-darter and an 11-darter, finishing with an exceptional average of 109.98.
Next up for Humphries in the last four will be his fellow Englishman, Michael Smith, also known as ‘Bullyboy’. Smith kept his playoff hopes alive by securing a 6-3 victory over Nathan Aspinall. Despite the win, the difference in points in the rankings still favors Aspinall by a single point.
