The European Darts Grand Prix Semifinals Set
The European Darts Grand Prix semifinals are set, with Gary Anderson and Rob Cross securing their spots in the competition.
In an exciting matchup, Anderson faced off against former world youth champion Josh Rock. Despite Rock taking an early 3-1 lead, Anderson managed to erase the break in the eighth leg with a 15-darter. However, Rock regained the advantage, leading 5-4. But Anderson refused to go down without a fight, hitting a superb 122 finish to level the score at 5-5. The Scot then had two match darts in the final leg, and after Rock missed another, Anderson’s fourth match dart sealed the victory.
“It was a tough match, but I’m glad I was able to come back and secure the win,” said Anderson.
In the other semifinal, Rob Cross took on reigning World Champion Luke Humphries. After Humphries took the first leg, Cross bounced back, throwing out 86 to level the score. The “Voltage” then raced ahead, winning three consecutive legs with finishes of 98, 132, and 124, before closing out the match with a 62 finish.
“I’m thrilled to have made it to the final,” Cross said. “It’s going to be an exciting match against Gary, and I’m looking forward to the challenge.”
The highly anticipated clash between Anderson and Cross is set to take place later this evening, with a spot in the European Darts Grand Prix final on the line. Darts enthusiasts can follow the action via the LIVE SCORE on the official website.
